Mission: Our Members Support and Promote Gopher Wrestling and Have Fun!

You may have noticed many booster club committees have been formed and do not have chairs. If you want to join in/help out please contact a committee chair and let them know or you my have some ideas to make certain events better. We welcome your ideas!

Chair - Jared Lawrence
• Responsibilities of each area and the chair people
• Each committee should solicit others to help

Membership – MCW
• Maintain a database of current members, working with Gopher Wrestling Office
• Provide members only privileges and benefits
• Arrange for a bus to shuttle to venue and back at all home matches

Finance – Brett Lawrence (Treasurer)
• Handle all deposits for memberships, tickets, donations, and socials
• Responsible to pay all bills per U of M guidelines
• Participate in U of M yearly audit by Deloitte and Touche

Golf Tournament – Luke Becker
• Assist in the annual Gopher Wrestling Tournament
• Encourage Booster Club members to participate
• Assist in getting door prizes

Pre and Post Meet Socials + Coach’s Monday Lunches – Jared and MCW
• Find a place close to Arena to accommodate
• Arrange food and refreshments
• Mondays during the season

National Duals - MCW
• Arrange for a block of tickets if possible
• Arrange hotel – release date 1 month prior to event
• Prepare for possibility of an informal social for final night

NCAA - Jared, Brett and MCW
• Arrange hotel (300 rooms) – release date 60 days prior to event
• Provide info on host hotels to boosters
• Arrange for socials on Friday & Saturday nights
• Arrange for food at both socials

Promotions – MCW
• Encourage local media coverage
• Booster Club Web Site
• Provide information to members on activities and upcoming Booster Events
• Develop an electronic newsletter to send to members
• Allow for members to exchange information and discuss upcoming events
• Encourage student participation
